Review by

I was given a copy of Silenced 2: The Overtaking for my honest opinion. I think all in all it was good read. I typically don’t read books like this. But I don’t regret reading it .I can tell Raebeth wrote this with heartfelt conviction. It’s about a girl named Amber who has just lost her best friend, and now has this underlining guilt of leaving Sarah behind. Feeling if she would have stayed, she would still be here .They did everything together, even starting cutting together and now the darkness is trying to take over. This book is about life after death, living in a world where her only relief is to cut herself to make the pain go away. Landon, who she thought was her only sense of security and support, now is slowly folding under pressure and pushing her away. Amber gains a sister, father and her mom who she never thought would be going through this journey of recovery with her. I think I connected with Amber in a way, fighting the urge of being depressed and not always accepted by the ones you love. Sometimes it takes a tragedy to find who is true family and friends. Learning to love yourself for you and having faith you won’t cave under pressure. Out of the whole book the ending was my favorite, because it goes to show you can overcome all things through Christ.
