Beautiful Freaks takes you back into London in 1899. I was completely memorized into a time of such unique dialect that was used in Beautiful Freaks. Transported in time when women mere objects. It’s not your ordinary detective tail, it has a Gothic twist.

I really fell in love with the handsome Kaspian Blackthorne. On his eighteenth Birthday, he becomes a man and learns that he has some abilities. His parents were murdered and left him with a professor that was a Paranormal Investigator. He is following in the roots of the professor to become his young protégé. A series of murders take place, Inspectors Steptree & Brown find the help of the professor in the mysteries of the deaths that take place.

I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. I laughed and felt heartbroken for Eve and the tragedy that left her so cold like a malice ice queen. When you think it’s over, another twist comes along and you find that all the pieces fit together.

A must read!!!!!
Beautiful Freaks was beautifully written!!!

Since her first sighting of him, he had haunted her dreams. Evangeline rarely dreamt and so the experience was at one curious and unsettling. In her dreams the two of them were always dancing some kind of waltz. It made her feel as light as a feather; or a ghost. Cherry blossom fell over them like snow or maybe confetti. The dream was so vivid that she could feel his arm around her but it was the same kind of feel as porcelain so that although solid, it was also fragile and she knew that she might break him. Where their hands touched there was soft light. They danced and they danced, faster and faster until it became almost crazed and the world around them started to slide and crack.
Through those cracks, the demons swarmed.
Evangeline believed in demons because she knew that angels existed. She was also wise enough to know that sometimes the two were sometimes indistinguishable.
